A back lawn cut in a light and dark checkerboard, mowed in two directions across the whole yard.

Lawn mowing in Hillview and south Louisville.

“We mow it, blow it, and go.”

Chris Akin runs the mower, the trimmer and the blower himself. Send him a photo of the yard and he sends a price back.

Weekly, bi-weekly, or a single cut. The price comes from a photo, so you know it before anyone starts.

  • One person, start to finish

Chris owns the mower and the trailer, and he is the one running them in your yard.

  • Commercial equipment

A Toro TimeCutter zero-turn with a 50 inch deck, plus Stihl trimmers and a Stihl backpack blower.

  • A price from a photo

Text a picture of the yard to (502) 855-1026. The number comes back without booking a visit.

What gets done on a cut

Three machines come off the trailer every visit. This is the order they run in and what each one is for.

  1. Drawing of a zero-turn riding mower seen from the side.

    The cut

The Toro zero-turn goes down in straight passes, which is what leaves the light and dark stripes in the photos on this page. A second Toro walk-behind handles the narrow ground and the slopes the zero-turn should not be on.

  2. Drawing of a string trimmer held on a diagonal.

    The trim and the edge

Stihl string trimmers go around the beds, the posts, the fence line and the mailbox, everywhere a mower deck cannot reach. Then the edge along the sidewalk and the driveway gets cut back, so the line between grass and concrete is a line again.

  3. Drawing of a backpack blower.

    The blow-off

The Stihl backpack blower clears the clippings off the driveway, the walks and the porch before anything goes back on the trailer. The gate gets shut behind us.

What we take on

  • Weekly and bi-weekly mowing
  • One time cuts and vacation cuts
  • Overgrown and tall grass cleanups
  • Larger lots and small acreage, from about a third of an acre on up

We mow it, blow it, and go.

The work

Yards around Hillview and south Louisville, photographed the day they were cut.

A cut edge either side of the walk. Truck parked at the top of the drive.
A back lawn finished in a light and dark checkerboard from mowing it in two directions.
Cut both ways, so the stripes cross into a checkerboard.
A front yard with a young tree, the orange truck and open trailer parked at the curb.
Front yard done, truck and trailer still at the curb.
A large open back lawn cut flat and even, with neighbouring houses behind the fence line.
A big back lawn, taken down even end to end.
A gated property with mown ground running back toward the treeline, seen from the truck.
Bigger properties get done too, gate and all.

How you get a price

Every yard is a different size and a different condition, so the price comes from looking at yours. That takes a photo and a text message.

  1. Text a photo of the yard

Send it to (502) 855-1026. One picture from the street and one from the back is plenty.

  2. Get a price back

Chris looks at the size and the condition and texts you what the cut costs.

  3. He shows up and cuts it

Weekly, bi-weekly, or the one time. You pick which.

“Thank you so much to everyone reaching out, we were able to get it done. Huge thanks to Chris Akin, so kind, professional and good with communication.”
